I am focusing on the outcome of the changes to the US tax system and not whether those changes were logical. But I do not believe these changes are fair when considering the impact or after. If the goal is to make America better, I do not believe this accomplishes that goal. As I mentioned, everyone currently has a sugar buzz from tax cuts but it won’t last. The hangover will impact lower-income people the worst because they will see the largest increase in their taxes and will not have as many of the benefits. The counter argument is that there will be a trickle down in benefits but economic study after study have shown trickle down economics do not work.
